This is Knit
Dublin City Centre’s only specialist yarn shop might actually be a reason to embrace winter. Follow in the foot steps of celebrity knitters Sarah Jessica Parker and Madonna and grab yourself some birch wood needles and some soft-as-a-cloud merino wool yarn and before long you will have your very own chunky hand knit scarf to combat the winter cold. www.thisisknit.ie
Skyline & Sidewalks
The “Skylines and Sidewalks from Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park” exhibition launches Thanksgivings Day, Nov 27th at the Giles Norman Dublin Gallery in Powerscourt Centre. The pervasive presence of the city’s past inspired Giles for the first time to print part of his collection in the style of antique plates, printed on textured, fine art paper. www.gilesnorman.com
Rough Gem
a new and vibrant collective made up of bloggers, artists and musicians aims to bring fun and fancy to the Dublin arts scene and The Loft on Nov 20th. with their first event. I give you a very fancy clothes swop-shop from 5pm to 8pm. For ticket information click here
Off the Rails Live
returns to the RDS with a new fresh look from 14th – 16th November 2008. It’s worth a fashionable look just to see how new presenters Brendan Courtney and Sonya Lennon fair for their first year in the Live limelight. Off the Rails Live website.
